I’m sorry to report that you are a doomed NPC for some game yet-to-happen, and the reason you have ammo that doesn’t match the guns in your house is because the protagonist is meant to progress further before the right weapons become available. Make sure to leave audio logs on how everything went to shit scattered around your place, too!
