first of all, why do I have to tell the chef how to make the steak? “medium rare”? “well done”? those are words made up by wizards or something. second of all I don’t like how they taste. they’re super expensive and they just taste so boring. chicken goated steak boring. I’m in my early 20s so I’m getting used to some “acquired taste” things slowly like wine and coffee but steak is still so bland.
You can also cook a really tasty steak with a little knowledge and practice. They’re also a meme, but that’s not gonna stop me from enjoying food.
A great steak just requires a hot pan to make a 9/10 dinner, maybe a bit of salt and pepper.
A great piece of chicken requires a lot more seasoning, more precise methods of cooking, maybe even a sauce, and the meal will probably only be a 7.5/10. You can absolutely get chicken up there but it requires a lot more skill.
