      Boomers may be dumb but this kinda shit is just bots all the way down. I imagine if you looked at the rest of the comments they all read suspiciously similar to the top one.

      I had two favorite subreddit communities when I left that shitty site. one was sopranos because it was insane with all the quotes masquerading as responses, like a bunch of jaunty pigeons mimicking conversations from a finite set of phrases.

      the second was oldpeoplefacebook because of shit like this. my parents are boomers on social media and it helps to see I’m not alone in bearing witness to the phenomenon.

    I was walking my dog down the beach and I looked back and when times were really tough there was only one set of foot prints so I asked my dog “why did you abandon me when times were hard?” and my dog said “look again and you will see that in the darkest times I was carrying you”
