Easy: death of the author. If this is the guy his work is already out there for people to interpret & draw their own conclusions from, his own intentions/views don’t really matter.
The assassination of a health insurance CEO was met with widespread popular support. We saw people with signs & banners with the message the shooter left at the scene. It’s still too early to say but we may get copycats following in their footsteps.
The shooters own views/reasons matter less than what people take away from this, and it seems like the takeaway is plenty of Americans (and others) support killing health insurance executives.
