So its not like gay people want to “realize their dreams” but we want the same benefits that straight people have. If religious people dont want to accept gay people, then benefits shouldn’t be given based on religious acts like marriage.

In a lot of countries you can get married without any religion being involved. Some government officials will then officiate the wedding.
