It’s already been confirmed that you can also play Switch 1 games on the Switch 2. You could nearly always play a previous console’s games on the new console, and now is no exception. But you could never play new games that require better hardware on old consoles that aren’t strong enough. Are you saying that you expect Switch 2 games, which will make use of the more powerful switch 2 console, to work on the 8 year old hardware of the Switch 1? It’s a new generation of console, of course the new games won’t work on the old console - that’s never been a thing.
