free market doesnt really exist. otherwise brands wouldnt be forced to ditch equality because a fascist is president. we would be able to buy cheap evs from china, because free market.

its a fictitious ideal thrown into our faces to distract us from the reality of living under a corporate oligarchy. like the american dream… its a fantasy that doesnt exist.

I agree that the tariffs are a bad idea. Thomas Sowell has explained that very well in basic economics.

I still think this government is so much better than the previous one though. Someone needed to stop the endless growth of bureaucracy. Hopefully it will be cut dramatically before mid term.

            What bureaucracy?

This country is so deregulated that I don’t even have to get my car inspected to renew its registration.

We’ll let wasteful shits roll coal in their jalopies that end up abandoned on the side of the road when they break down, but we don’t allow foreign competition? Make it make sense, lol~

We spend 100x more on our bloated, oversized military. When is someone going to actually save money? Cuz cutting federal jobs is saving almost nothing compared to that waste… if thats what we really care about.

If all you consume is right wing propaganda then yes, the dismantling of all our civic protections and the complete disregard of the Constitution by the executive branch and all the negative impacts on local communities and farmers that depended on aid now gone would seem like paradise as you wouldn’t even know it’s happening. You just get some vague “we’re eliminating wasteful spending!” Without any definition as to what was wasteful.

Since when does the Executive branch have the right to ignore the Judiciary? Biden didn’t. He tried the executive order to allow studen loan forgiveness and got smacked down by the courts so it didn’t happen.

Trump gets a ruling he doesn’t like and suddenly Elmo musk and Vance are doing some “judicial overreaching” dance. Literally stating "Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”

They have legitimate power to issue an executive order, they do not have legitimate power to have that executive order violate the constitution. That’s the whole point of the Judiciary to combat against. They don’t have the legitimate power to fire inspector generals on the spot, without notice or following the rules around how that process happens, those that are literally there to watch out for fraud and illegality. As per Republican Chuck Grassley

It’s been interesting as someone in the middle. My left leaning friends and family are all panicking like it’s the end of the world. My right leaning friends are the happiest I have seen them in years.

The part I don’t enjoy is when I say things that I do like about what’s going on I am called a Nazi/fascist ( or whatever other words the left feels like driving into the ground until it’s meaning has been completely lost) immediately by people on the left.

When I point out things I don’t like about what’s going on the people on the right have varying responses ranging from “too bad so sad” to " yeah I agree I am not a fan of how it’s being done, but I still think it’s a net positive".

If you’re wondering how the Democrats lost that’s just one tiny example of the larger issue.
