Something funny is going on at Lemm.ee. The admin is suddently ban hammer happy too.

That and all the mods removed from here is kinds strange.

Anyone have any word on what’s up and why the drastic changes in attitude and all of the sudden bans?

**EDIT: **Actually I think I found the reason: https://lemm.ee/post/55846636/18367529 (!meta@ lemm.ee “It seems some higher level moderation of communities may be required”)

Lemm.ee is a bunch of new admins, so it’s not longer as friendly to differing opinions as it once was.

Which a bunch of Lemmy Democrats are gonna cheer and advertise about.

Probably a good idea for us to find a new conservative community.

Don’t let them silence you, guys. We should just move–not run away. Running away is what they want us to do.

EDIT: I’m not defending Nazi’s or Nazi salutes. I didn’t see the post and I haven’t seen any describe it other than “it was a Nazi salute!” Does anyone want to actually describe the post? What did it say? Was it a meme? Was it Musk? Was it a random pic?

Of course not. Nor which other accounts you use.

Which is why I explained it to you. Lots of people on Lemmy have more than one account. So you can’t really judge based on an age of a user account unless they say they are new.

I’ve been on lemmy for a little over a year.

I’ve never said I haven’t changed accounts. I purge my accounts every few months for privacy.

So I’m still not sure what point you are trying to make.

        I haven’t trolled and I haven’t evaded any bans.

Lots of people have mulitple usernames on Lemmy. For me, it’s to protect my privacy and information from being all in one place. As are many others on here.

In fact, in the privacy communities, they recommend purging your username and creating a new one every few months. And I agree with that. And I do. And I will continue to do so.

Feel freel to check out the privacy communities and ask their thoughts on that subject.

Thats fair enough. But also, dont get upset when people question how long youve been on the platform when literally the only information others have is when you current account was created

I wasn’t upset. I was merely pointing out that you have to be careful of assumptions on a platform like Lemmy that is so decentralized and focused on privacy.
