It’s becoming impossible to keep track of this (which is perhaps by design)
Yeah. I had the same thought. Is this the same $30b that we already implemented as a response to his previous tantrum or a new $30b for a new tantrum? And what about that $120b we were keeping in our back pocket? Are we keeping that around for the future tantrum, or is this a chunk out of that?
Additional.
LeBlanc mentions that in the video clip attached to the OP link.
That link won’t open for me. Huh. I’m using Boost, if that works as an excuse?
Start countdown timer to trump whining that Canada is so unfair for taxing the US without any provocation whatsoever
“THEY CANT DO THAT”
Show Trump there UNO reverse card
The article doesn’t mention whether we’re moving up tariffs that were supposed to be part of round 2, or adding tariffs to more goods than were originally planned.
At this point, who knows. Trump has been so extremely erratic with tarrics coming and going that it’s really hard to keep up. The idiot is insane
I guess we’ll know more after the press conference.
What I understand is that it is some goods that was in round 2, that will go into effect tomorrow instead.
It’s in response to Trump going ahead with his aluminum/steel tariffs.
Yall might want to buy computers and electronics ASAP if you need them. This article says they’re included this time:
These measures come on top of the initial $30 billion worth of U.S. imports that Canada slapped tariffs on earlier this month, in response to Trump’s U.S. International Emergency Economic Powers Act tariffs put in place March 4.
According to the federal government, the list of additional products affected by counter-tariffs includes tools, computers and servers, display monitors, water heaters, sport equipment, and cast-iron products.
God damn what a shit show. And Canadians are baring teeth and starting to make fools of the United States government. Its more cringe than British sketch comedy.
We aren’t starting to make fools of them, they were fools before we showed up
