Long story, but because of some crappy work done by a home tech company, my original plan to use AP AC Lites for WiFi didn’t go to plan. In the end I basically had to put them in random locations where they were able to add Ethernet ports. I plan to figure something out (eventually), but in the meantime I’m wondering if I can turn my old Asus router into an access point? Is this possible/any advice if so?

Yeah should’ve been clearer, I have an EdgeRouter X for my router, connected to a switch/patch panel. From there they were supposed to run cables to the correct rooms and put some ceiling drops in for my APs. But they screwed it all up, said they couldn’t get the cables ran to the ceiling, and called it a day lol

The AC Lites don’t have to be ceiling mounted. I have two Unifi AP sitting on shelves.
