One of mine would sleep on my head like a hat when I was a kid. My first cat as an adult would spend the entire night in the crook of my arm and spend the daytime next to me at my desk while I was studying

I have two Bengals. They always follow me everywhere in the house, but always stay at an arm’s length. They only like to be touched when it’s bed time. Those bastards. ❤️

If they would sleep, I’d consider it. They just run all over the place and scream at me for attention.

Our cat of 19 years who just passed spent near every from too young to eat food to the equivalent of cat 92 either sleeping like a person often with his head on the edge of the pillow beside my wife or cuddled up to my legs. Even when I used to work nights and fall asleep on the couch he’d come and lay with me even though I moved around a LOT we’d constantly rotate with him at some weird angle.

My girlfriend decided we needed a bigger bed. It doesn’t matter. Every night we go to sleep with the cat snugly by my hip and by morning the cat takes up half of the bed and we are in the corner against the wall. I don’t even know how it happens.

Its the pet rule. Not matter the size if the animal, they will expand in the night to take all the coziness for themselves.

Reality is that the bed warms up while you sleep. Dogs and cats curl up to sleep to keep warm, so once the mattress is warmed up by your bodyheat, cat or dog doesn’t need to curl up and instead sprawls out to find that equilibrium of warmth. So while the pet is probably very comfy to stretch out and take all the space, they might also be overheating some and trying to stay cool yet cozy. But they will absolutely try to shuffle you around every few hours if they can to take the warm spot you made.

If I don´t find my cat cuddled up between my feet when I wake up, that´s just not a good start of the day.

Same but they rotate. One sleeps between my legs the other sits on my arm and chest, then when I wake up arm cat goes to stake out the food bowl and leg cat moves to arm until I get out of bed.

My girl cat loves to crawl under my blanket and curl up next to me for a time. Then she’ll leave after a bit and when she comes back, she’ll sleep next to my face. Sometimes she goes directly to sleeping next to my face. She’d never ask to drive the car though, the car is for humans to use to bring her items, why would she use it? No need to get her own items, we do it for her!

    Stone Cold Jane Austen, @AbbyHiggs

Friend: you let your cats sleep in the bed with you?

Me: I’d let my cats borrow the car if they wanted to.
