I used to be a fiction writer, and not a very good one. When I was still in college (or maybe just after I left) I wrote fan fiction set in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld universe. Starring a gargoyle named Ashlar and an astronaut named Bizz, the two set off on an intergalactic journey of defying odds and rewriting history. I think that’s what I was going for anyway, I never actually finished it. But hey, there are no shortages of cameos, because why would there be?
