In “The Paper,” a passionate journalist named Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson) joins an Ohio newspaper as its new editor-in-chief. Faced with a crumbling local media industry, Ned must rally a group of ragtag employees and defy the odds to revitalize the Toledo Truth Teller.

I’m not sure that’s a good sign, but Season 1 of the American Office wasn’t very good, either.
