  • The trouble with publishing best practices is it’s a blueprint for how to break in, like publishing a map to your house with all the locks and cameras labelled. If you establish that 2 factor authentication is required, with SHA256 encryption and passwords at least 16 characters, numbers, upper and lower case, and special characters, changed every six months, then the hackers know what they need. They need to spoof someone’s cell phone, they know how long it takes to decrypt sha256, and they know if your password was FuckingBullsh1tsecurity!3 two years ago, it’s probably FuckingBullsh1tsecurity!7 today.

  • My bad, I forgot who said they voted for Jill Stein. That was a different person who threw their vote in the trash and helped Trump win.

I still agree that Harris is to blame for a bad strategy. She and Biden fucked everyone because they wanted to try to keep their thumbs on the scale. She failed to make her case, and she failed to inspire voters. And I don’t really blame any of the third party candidates. I do believe that Stein is kompromised, but she’s not the reason that Trump won. She helped him win, but Harris and Biden and the DNC are primarily responsible. Those are the facts, and they are not in dispute.

All I’m saying is that it is always a choice between the lesser of two evils. Always has been, and it won’t change without a massive shift in voter sentiment and behavior, or like a coup or something. I doubt anyone could pull off a coup in the US. Trump is as powerful and despotic as any American has ever been, and he can’t manage to take Portland from people wearing inflatable suits. So until we get some STAR voting and some political literacy, expect the chicken or beef. Pick one, even if it’s not your favorite.
