A lot of folks can’t take jokes. They think everything everyone says is 100%. For the most part, when people get really hateful, even when making jokes, that’s when they tell you the truth. That’s my opinion, though.

“Jokes are supposed to be funny” that’s wrong. What makes something a joke is intent. Good joke or bad joke can be argued but if the message was intended to be a joke… then it’s a joke.
Not every joke needs to be funny to you personally or funny to anyone at all besides the person making a joke.
