I’m gay, trans, and an anarchist. I thought the post title was misogynistic, objectifying, and not a good example something that should be in a ‘queer friendly’ space.

Not everyone is okay with sexual degradation humor, misogynistic comments, etc, even if it’s about people you disagree with. Pointing that out in this case got me called a homophobic tankie and banned within minutes of making the post.

    The ban was simple, you posted something disgustingly homophobic.

      Looks like quite a few people here are having a problem seeing the homophobia in that comment. I could definitely use an explanation.

      “Cumrag” isn’t a great term. I’ve heard it from strangers when walking down the street in immodest clothing, from guys I don’t want to date, and online when dudes I disagree with find out I’m a chick. I definitely associate it with misogyny, so I see Diva trying to gently inform that people might find it offensive.

      I’m an anarchist, my post was pointing out the misogyny I saw in your post title, literally using a quote block with a paraphrased version of your own post title to make it more obvious.

        There was no misogyny. But your implication that it was certainly homophobic by conflating the subjects. Hence you and only you getting banned. Zero tolerance for that shit, you understand?

              I did not conflate being queer with an insult.

              I was pointing out that your post title was misogynistic. Gay people can still be putting their internalized misogyny into the world, and I would hope a queer space would discourage that, rather than have it actively defended by moderation.

              Ironically it is you who is using claims of homophobia to silence another gay person criticizing your behavior.

                  I wasn’t though. I was pointing out that using cumrag as an insult broadly was not in line with being a ‘queer friendly’ instance, as it is overtly misogynistic.

                  You seemed intent on misreading it so you could slap ‘homophobic’ on another gay person calling your shitty behavior out.
