Ishtar is a 1987 American adventure comedy film written and directed by Elaine May, and produced by Warren Beatty, who co-stars opposite Dustin Hoffman. The story revolves around Chuck Clarke and Lyle Rogers, a duo of talentless American songwriters who travel to a booking in Morocco and stumble into a four-party Cold War standoff.

I’m not interested in Ishtar, in the end, but I would be curious to know what you learned about Lawrence of Arabia. That’s one of my favorite movies, but I couldn’t say how historically accurate it is.
Its been a long time but that was the main thing. The trek through the desert was not anything like portrayed. Its basically based on a true story but everything is altered to make him out to be some sort of superhero and minimized the assistance he got.
I see, and yah, that worked – I loved Peter O’Toole’s performance, he did seem to do all of that on his own in the film.
