I smiled at a man on the bus last week. I thought he was someone I knew. Big mistake. I eventually lost him after running across a busy street and into a neighborhood where I might be welcome and he certainly wouldn’t, then taking a bus to the far side of my neighborhood from where I’d been approaching and going over a few walls, but it meant I got home like an hour late.
