I used to listen to a lot of AM radio in my childhood (lalo na kung “brownout”, lol!), but recently, I’m the same as well. However, in times of disaster (typhoons, earthquakes, or man-made emergencies), I sometimes find myself looking for news coverage my cellphone’s radio app.

Call me old-fashioned or whatever, but iba pa rin kasi ang feeling nung makakarinig ka ng breaking news reports sa radyo eh.

Other than that, my local radio listening has gone down to almost nil in the past handful of years.

When my favorite FM radio station (Pure FM, from the province. Literally pure pop songs and sometimes classic pop every 9PM) shut down, dun na ako gradually nawalan ng interes sa radyo.

Ahhh, yeah. Ang saklap nga pag ganyan. And I’m still grieving the loss of NU 108 (not even a rockhead, lol! I just like their programming).

I don’t usually listen to FM radio nowadays, except if I‌ want that “office music” feel at home, in which case I’ll go to 96.3 (DWRK‌ Easy Rock, Metro Manila).
