anyone with NFT in their display name

I hate greedy people – thinking about their greed and avarice makes me want to puke at times.

Also, people who make “I’m not a _____ but…” excuses.

When someone I haven’t talked to for more than a decade suddenly says “Hi” on my DMs. Feel ko it’s going to be Pru-Life, Usana, or something along those lines… and most of the time I’m proven to be right.

Anyone here plays guitar? When should you get maintenance on your guitar’s frets? I noticed that some frets have dents, but I don’t really notice much chance in sounds, just a slight buzz if I press the strings too hard.

Dude, I have no problems financially. I already got paid big from my occasional work that’ll last me for months (Yes, may budget plan), plus may passive income rin ako sa province (agri-business). It’s just sometimes, nabobored ako, pagkatapos ng chores ko, writing drafts, reading, and everything.

Nagsisisi ba ako naging Filipino ako? Sort of. Not because of work situation, but all the bullshitteries that majority influenced since 2016.

        “Nagsisisi na Filipino ka?”

I’m Filipino by the accident of birth, so it’s a bit illogical for me to say “nagsisisi ako na Filipino ako.” Regretting is something that is only valid if you had a choice in the matter.

Now, if I ever wished to be of a different nationality, I’d be lying if I say no. I can go on about my reasoning, but I won’t bother you with that.

    https://business.inquirer.net/407127/biz-buzz-remolona-drops-us-citizenship

After spending a good part of his illustrious career on foreign soil—14 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and 19 years at the Bank for International Settlements, among others—newly appointed Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona was ready to return to the Philippines and contribute what he can to nation-building.

Remolona was so serious about his intent to give back to the country that he gave up his American citizenship with the help of Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, a colleague from their early days at the School of Economics of the University of the Philippines.

Like many Filipino professionals based abroad, Remolona held dual citizenship. But now, he is solely a Filipino citizen.

Some people would call him crazy to give up what they thought is the ultimate privilege card. However, it remains to see how well he would perform as the new BSP chief.

In fairness to Pinoy content, it’s not just because it’s Pinoy that irritates me, it’s the sound effects they use on top of the irritating humor that they inevitably use.

Di ko rin alam kung bakit naiirita ako tho. Maybe it’s some kind of a Pavlovian thing where I’ve associated those sound effects with irritating content, or it is the sound effects pushing what might otherwise be tolerable content past the line and into irritating territory.

Whenever I heard them, I felt like I’m developing myself with misophonia, and this is me tuning up white noise for meditation or whenever I’m bored.

Di lang ito limited sa YT o socmed shorts/content, pati na rin sa local TV, especially GMA.

I’m with you on that one. Worthy of special mention is that baby laughter noise that a lot of Pinoy Youtubers use. Nagpipintig tenga ko pag naririnig ko siya.

Di lang ito limited sa YT o socmed shorts/content, pati na rin sa local TV, especially GMA.

Oo nga ano… I’ve been thinking this is mostly just a socmed thing, but it’s already spread onto local TV (I’ve heard the baby laugh sound effect on Showtime as well).

          And radio.

Have to remind myself that one’s irritant maybe another person’s sense (and quality level) of humor.

Yeah, and due to how prevalent (or my perception of it being prevalent) it is in stuff aimed towards Filipinos, I have this feeling that my own sensibilities are just not in tune with the rest of the country’s.

I have this feeling that my own sensibilities are just not in tune with the rest of the country’s.

This is soo me. Most of the time, I read articles from AP News (or global news), or whatever marereceive ko sa email (from Inquirer o sa Viber notifications), and watch film/pop culture analysis videos from overseas. Recently I accidentally sent an email to my ex-friend. She replied “English yarn!!” I asked, “anong yarn?” Damn… and I’m 25.

                Hahahaha!‌ Ouch!

But yeah, it really depends on the (online or IRL) company we keep eh.

I think I’m not as bad when it comes to colloquial Filipino and its slang terms, but had I not been with people in touch with those things, I might as well be a foreigner with Filipino blood, who lived all my life in here the Philippines.

I’d never listened to local radio since I subscribed to Spotify a decade ago, until I landed on Apple Music with their free radios (mostly mainstream and featured artists lang naman). Haha

I used to listen to a lot of AM radio in my childhood (lalo na kung “brownout”, lol!), but recently, I’m the same as well. However, in times of disaster (typhoons, earthquakes, or man-made emergencies), I sometimes find myself looking for news coverage my cellphone’s radio app.

Call me old-fashioned or whatever, but iba pa rin kasi ang feeling nung makakarinig ka ng breaking news reports sa radyo eh.

Other than that, my local radio listening has gone down to almost nil in the past handful of years.

When my favorite FM radio station (Pure FM, from the province. Literally pure pop songs and sometimes classic pop every 9PM) shut down, dun na ako gradually nawalan ng interes sa radyo.

Ahhh, yeah. Ang saklap nga pag ganyan. And I’m still grieving the loss of NU 108 (not even a rockhead, lol! I just like their programming).

I don’t usually listen to FM radio nowadays, except if I‌ want that “office music” feel at home, in which case I’ll go to 96.3 (DWRK‌ Easy Rock, Metro Manila).

I also started on Dr. Stone. Crush ko ba si Senku? I think I’d rather be his apprentice but yes he’s cool.

Rengoku pa din number one 🤩🔥

I’m almost done with my meds and I feel better now. Hay salamat.

Not familiar with One Piece, but I hope that the live adaptation doesn’t become a dud like Cowboy Bebop.
