This MAN has said to me, repeatedly, that on the way to work he drives past a house with two beautiful lemon trees that just bust out fruit all day long. He’s full of shit. There’s no fucking way. My lemon tree was FUCKED when it only went to 15°F. It went down to -15F this year!
There’s no way these trees exist and, if they do, they’re clearly not lemon trees

Yeah I don’t think there’s any citrus that can survive -15F.

Is it possible that your boss is just some sort of moron that doesn’t know what lemons or their trees look like and also can’t use the internet to check? Maybe somebody pranked him by taping lemons to some other kind of tree, sent him off into the world to look foolish and fail at growing lemons. That would be pretty funny.
Do you throw a sheet / light blanket over them when it gets really cold out?
I got one of those bags that is supposed to be a cover that lets some light/water through but it didn’t seem to help. But i also didn’t know I guess you’re supposed to take it off every day (wow that’s a lot of work) or something when it warms up a little so i left it covered for like two weeks. But it was already severely fucked up, and then it was just SO dead when it dropped below 0F
I think the only way I’m keeping a lemon tree alive here is if I build a greenhouse and heat it
