There is a reason why the discovery of the Gnostic Gospels was not publicized. The clergy and MTG’s who have hijacked Christianity prefer a dogmatic religion mediated by them.
Jesus’ “message” was more like poetry allowing the individual a direct experience with the numinous. More akin to Eastern mysticism and, dare I say, the philosophy of many Atheists. He probably was just one hippie amongst many but happened to go viral.
As a progressive Christian who hates everything MTG stands for, this is kind of disheartening to hear…
I’m happily oblivious much of to (I assume) US politics, so I’m going to read this as if you’re talking about Magic the Gathering.
