So people are exercising the 1st Amendment right in a way that she doesn’t like and now she wants the FBI to investigate them. All these politicians are the same. Democrats and Republicans.

Polls say something like 60% of all voters support a ceasefire, so I’m sure this ones gonna go down real well with the electorate, Nance.

I’m not sure why you or anyone else would think the ceasefire support and the chance of Russian meddling are mutually exclusive, Russia, China, Qatar, Iran, Turkey, The Saudis, and Israel could all be meddling, it definitely warrants looking into, especially with the tension occurring at the protests, most of them have a history of inflaming both sides, especially Russia.

last time i checked, Joe Biden is not the President of Israel, nor does he direct the IDF… and you may want to tell the Iranians first, they’re already killing Americans…

Investigating people because they don’t like our government supporting a genocidal maniac in the midst of committing genocide…

… and you think people speaking out are spies worthy of being shot?

Please tell me you’re being a sarcastic troll and don’t actually believe that. Because that’s fucked.

Sounds like something a Russian agent would say to inflame tensions, no?

        Careful what you wish for.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Sunday suggested that some protesters calling for a cease-fire in Gaza could be linked to Russia and urged the FBI to investigate.

I don’t think this is a bad take. Russia will use social media for everything and anything that can magnify discord in American society. I don’t think they care about the morale position of any side as long as pushing the messaging causes internal conflict in the American political conversation.

They’ll also support pro-Israel voices to help sow discord. There is a precedent of them funding both sides.

But as Republicans can freely visit Moscow and wine and dine with Putin, it’ll only be citizens getting the warm welcome of the FBI.

Of course Putin has been planning shit with Iran on the October 7th terror attack. Not even going to waste surprised Pikachu on that one.

One of Putins big grievances was how good Ukraine was handling media. I’ve never seen a conflict being reported on for so long and still engaging people.

Then the October 7th happened and almost nothing about Ukraine after that

Ever since then the Russian troll factories have been running 24/7 making sure the Israel attack is the main focus.

You can easily see the trolls working hard on fx Lemmy. All those users that are talking about how Israel is breaking the Laws of War while not having any comment history regarding Ukraine.

Either a lot of them are trolls or they are people unable to be angry at two bad things at the same time.

So yes, the Russians are working social media hard. It doesn’t matter if you’re pro Israel or pro Hamas to them, as long as you don’t talk about Ukraine.

Because the conflicts are nothing alike, and in the case of Ukraine the US is helping the victim but in the case of Palestine the US is helping the aggressor

So yes, the Russians are working social media hard. It doesn’t matter if you’re pro Israel or pro Hamas to them, as long as you don’t talk about Ukraine.

To over 300 millions Arabs and over 1 billion Muslims, Palestine is very personal in a way the Ukraine isn’t. Similarly for hundreds of millions in the Global South who identify with the struggle of Palestinians against colonialism. But more importantly, what’s going on in Palestine is many times worse than anything that happened in Ukraine.

        * The graphics are a couple of months old, things have gotten much worse since then.

“the former House speaker said, without offering evidence, that she believed some protesters are connected to Russian President Vladimir Putin.”

I like evidence, it’s a great way of telling if someone is full of shit or not.

Russia is getting its moneys worth in robot trolls and small bribes. Our repaying the favor in Ukraine is the least we can do.
