Were the cops who did this fired?
Firing would likely just be for optics. Even when am officer does get fired for something like this, the union sues and the officer gets their job back with backpay. If they do ends up staying gone, they just apply at a different department and take a bit of a pay cut.
My heart tells me probably not. Imagine having a job where you are unconcerned about preventing liberty and the right to freely travel.
