Maybe you can explain how this is funny because I’m not getting it.

Edit: I guess I have to assume the silent angry downvotes mean no one else gets it either.

no, i’m saying it’s a shitposting community not a political science collegium.

are you familiar with code switching? this is the community we let our (in my case nonexistent) hair down and get a little silly. regardless of topic. on the other communities we get serious.

This would assume they could be even slightly self reflective. I’m pretty sure they are pointing and laughing at how crazy this theory is without any self awareness at all.

Nope. What I am saying is that to learn any sort of lesson, which you said they would do, they’d need to be capable of learning anything. “let them reap what they sow”, as in “they said dumb conspiracy stuff like this, let them see how it feels for everything their side does to be a conspiracy”. Which would require them to associate their actions with these. They won’t. No matter how obvious a parallel, they’d miss it. These are not smart people.

They’d hear us laughing and say to their fellow Nazis “these Satanists have lost their minds!”

I honestly wonder if they actually think they’re fooling anyone. It’s so blatantly obvious none of these “assassins” is even trying. Especially the Ear Incident that lasted all of 3 days. That one was so easy I could have made that shot with iron sights. In the dark.

Maybe the would-be assassins are just plain incompetent. Seems like the path of least resistance. He barely got past the entrance and that was with a running start.

I mean, the last one is going to jail, you are suggesting that guy is going to throw his life away for false flag claims made by people on social media?

I mean, have you even read coldForce’s manifesto?

see all claims by corporations on their products… more lies, and people keep paying…

people do dumb shit all the time and screw themselves over

So you actually believe that trump would agree to a plan where he could easily be accidentally killed, when the upside is barely anything in it for him? Then after he was almost killed doing it once, he agreed to it again? Like how is this idea gaining even the slightest bit of traction? Qanon was not dumber than this at all. This is mind boggling.

I don’t think Trump’s agreeing to any of this and in the event the does get taken out, they’ll just martyr him.

Ok even in the context of that conspiracy theory there is basically all risk and next to no reward. I cannot believe I have to explain that.

You’ve just described every action this administration has done. What reward have they gotten from their war with Iran? From defunding America’s science institutes? From ICE?

Do I really believe this was staged? I’m not sure I believe anything anymore other than these people being complete shits. Peter Theil absolutely has plans if Trump dies in office. It’s just a matter of risk assessment from his perspective.

It is obvious to anyone that has eyes that the USA gains really nothing from the war. In fact, we are all paying for it, everywhere. The damage to the energy infrastructure in the region will take years to get back to where it was before the war. LNG production will be affected for years.

But the war wasn’t the USA’s idea. It was Israel’s and their stupid Greater Israel project. The USA’s government, Dems and the Republicans are absolutely beholden to AIPAC and their acolytes.

People in the administration have essentially admitted that Israel was the one taking the lead on the operation and they joined it.

Do y’all actually believe this was a false flag? That’s just pure contrarian conspiratorial thinking to me. Trump didn’t gain anything from this. He actually looks stupid because the interviewer used the shooter’s manifesto to humiliate trump. There have been 3 assassination attempts on Trump iirc and none of them meaningfully changed anything.

IMO, the right’s biggest success over the past several years is the attack on truth. Even leftists now believe the established narrative must be wrong. That’s not skepticism, that’s just tribalistic contrarianism.

When he got “shot” in the ear from a rifle bullet but was completely fine, polls switched over to his favor during the campaign.

That was pretty early when he was still running against Biden. At most, it was a temporary surge. Even if he won off the back of it, there’s just no evidence that it was a false flag or anything like that. It’s an enormous claim to make with zero evidence. I don’t see how it’s helpful to believe in that. Why is it hard to believe that the most divisive politician in recent memory has had multiple people try to kill him?

Because his ear wouldn’t exist if it was hit with a .223.

The temporary surge was talked about over and over again until election day. Polls showed it was a significant reason why he won.
