    That’s hilarious. But the animal fat must just be a byproduct of the meat industry that would otherside be wasted? Would it be more respectful to the animal to use all of it and make USB cables out of it instead of wasting its fat? Obviously nobody is raising cattle just to make USB cables.

      I can see where you’re coming from. But I do think it’s also an incentive to make money from every ‘part’ of the animal. The less that’s sold apart from the meat, the less profitable it is overall.

        In an extreme case of undersupply or price gouging, I’m pretty sure there would be a cable company CEO buying into meat industry just to control the full line of production. They’d call it vertical integration or whatever, and then sell burgers as an afterthought. So yeah, it shouldn’t be considered good even if it’s just a part of a process or a leftover.

      Giving any money to these industries is bad, even if it’s a byproduct. If they were donating, it would be a different story.
