I actually believe this. You’ve seen the footage of the prisons, the treatment. Knowing I’d be used to make my imprisoners more money, with shit food, torture, and no hope for release I’d go out in the most costly manner I could muster.

What’s interesting is the figure they point to in the article:

When I read this yesterday that figured seemed very low to me, but since ICE and Donald shield CBP gulags from any kind of scrutiny or public transparency, I’ve just been assuming the number of people murdered in these facilities is somewhere in the thousands.
