It also comes amid a sustained campaign by the Trump administration to shut down gender-affirming care for youth and some adults nationwide through funding threats and baseless criminal investigations of institutions providing that care—and once operationalized, could provide a significant lifeline for youth who need care in the city.

No shit healthcare should be free, plenty of countries do that already and it’s a disgrace that the US is falling into fascism?
Mamdani can’t wave a magic wand to make all healthcare free, we don’t even have Medicare for all or universal healthcare yet because the worse politicians are capitalist and bought out by the elite.
