In Korea and Vietnam, didn’t the Navy mostly just fire missiles from offshore and act as as a platform for launching planes and transporting troops and cargo? I guess the admiral is expecting that whoever he’s making this point to that he wants to believe it doesn’t know any relatively recent U.S. history.
