The entirety of the Argentinian claim to the island is that they used to be a Spanish colony and that they inherited the island from Spain when they became independent, plus a 3 week stint before the people they put there said to hell with Argentina.
England was there 126 years before Argentina was a country, and they lived on the islands for roughly 9 years. Argentina spent a total of 3 weeks in control there. Nobody at any point in the history of the island wanted Argentina there. There wasn’t a native population to “imperialize.” When put to a democratic vote, 99.8% voted to stay with British rule, and the UN recognizes the right to self determination.
