Another Luxon foot-in-mouth episode.
Luxon’s just another CEO failing upwards. He’s accustomed to telling his inferiors what’s important and having them to fall on their swords when that inevitably fails.
His move into politics puts him at the mercy of even the least experienced career politicians. Going up against Peters (one of the most invincible politicians we have) and Seymour (a chump, but experiencd) is a little bit of a rude awakening for him. So, of course, it’s democracy and the electorate that’re the problems.
If he had any ability for introspection he’d quit and go sit on the board of Fulton Hogan and stroke his ego there.
