Europeans don’t seem to care much. US humiliation tariff, rising oil/natgas prices, now drilling in Greenland illegally. The only problem for these people seems to be the Russians.
The US has been carefully cultivating a political culture in Europe that’s rooted in Russophobia all throughout the Cold War. So, this isn’t a surprise, and since Europeans know they can’t fight Russia on their own, they have to swallow whatever humiliation the US imposes on them as a result.
Taking over Greenland could be a good way to distract from the total defeat in the Gulf.
If it does happen it would be funny and also very confusing how to feel about. On the one hand, empire seizing more land, not great… on the other hand, Europe being openly humiliated like that, the thought puts a smile on my face.

Feels really bad for the indigenous people there though. They’ve suffered from Denmark enough and are still looked down upon from Denmarkers. (Seriously the entitlement they have over Greenland is disgusting)
The fact that Denmark rolled over with near 0 pressure as well. Some Danish official openly stated they’re ready to talk about Greenland diplomatically a week after Trump floated the idea of annexing Denmark.
The best way out is the US bankrupts Europe, goes bust itself, and the natives around the colonies start a protracted struggle of liberation.
If only it were mainland Europe instead of their overseas territory. The Inuit did nothing to deserve this
