i should record a video some time this seems to be a common question lol!!

mostly just make sure to rest your elbow on a table and your hand on your face, keeps it nice and steady :) I always outline where I want it then fill in the space too! helps make mistakes easy to clean up and check if you’re even before finalizing it

I saw the Miku shirt and fully thought it was the meme of her going “GAY?!”. Ah the memories.

Also, oof, server stuff. I have dealt with so much of that over the years I would rather never touch one again. A database fine, miss me with trying to figure out why a permission set to active is not really set to active when there is no reason for it to not be set to active, or having to babysit the thing to actually boot itself up properly. I do not know exactly what you mean with server(on-platform, a physical one working on its backend, or whatnot), but still, mood mood and bleh. Tomorrow relaxation yay, enjoy it!

Yikes. At least you got through it, and I have heard a lot about miside, never played it. Does not seem like my bottle of water personally, but I understand the appeal it has for others.

Speaking of computer maintenance, funny story that: This computer I am running is a Linux Box that was running such an old Ubuntu LTS version that it no longer received updates and the repos it pointed to no longer existed. Had to completely reinstall Ubuntu on it to get it up to speed. Nice little box though for what I use it for(which is not much). Once cooked it trying to use sddm as the display manager, had to go into recovery and uninstall it. Linux is great for the same reason it can be problematic for the inexperienced. I had enough experience to fix it, not enough to not have broken it from the outset. Better than the time a bad Linux Distro straight up broke the wireless chip in another computer then managed to make it no longer post. That computer was ready to be retired long before I ever even got it, but it was such a shame. It was an old Alienware Steam Machine.

this rings eerily familiar; one of my servers (from before i got my hands on actual servers) is ancient HP laptop which was already the lowest of the low end when i got it 12 years ago. i still have yet to get around to moving the last few tiny things off of it, so it’s just sitting there chugging along (with no fan) running a version of Ubuntu Server which stopped getting updates a few years ago. still works though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this is either uptime porn or uptime gore

there is never enough time, and then when there is time there always seem to be more interesting things to take care of first :/

i’ve been putting off “figure out how the hell i’m gonna deal with backing all this shit up” for like 5 years now and it just keeps becoming more and more daunting since all that gosh darn data just won’t stop increasing

I need to do a spring cleaning every once in a while. So far I’m not sure an arch install on my laptop has lasted more than 6 months

I just moved in my new appartment and you remind me that I have to redo my nas networking when I get my new router/ whenever my isp decides to finally enable it.

Edit : Nikki featuring miku (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) Cute crossover
