The problem being we only have a slightly larger population, so it’d be pretty close to you annexing us. That’s not really the end of the world, TBH, but for many Canadians it would be a dealbreaker. Cutting off the rural bits would help, but not much since they’re rural (and, honestly, we could use some domestic produce growing, anyway).

It’s just one of the biggest states in one of the most populous countries.
