Macklemore is turning his removal from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour into a new run of his own, announcing a three-city “Free Palestine Tour” in Europe with additional artists and U.S. dates still to come.
The rapper announced the benefit tour Thursday, with concerts scheduled for Oct. 26 at 3Arena in Dublin, Oct. 29 at Accor Arena in Paris and Oct. 30 at OVO Arena Wembley in London. Ticketmaster is billing the shows as “Macklemore & Friends,” though participating artists have not yet been announced.
Macklemore said all proceeds from the concerts will benefit organizations “supporting the Palestinian people and movement.”
I’m thinking that he deliberately chose one city that’s pretty much guaranteed to welcome him and his message with open arms (Dublin), one that has a shitload of zionists AND uncowed anti-zionists so it could go either way (Paris), and one of the main zionism-enforcing and free speech-suppressing cities of the world (London)
Dublin’s gonna be a great time for everyone involved, and the other two are probably going to further the cause by generating the right headlines.
I think London will put even more pressure on the British Government since the Public Opinion over there is pretty much on the opposite side of Her Majesty’s Government and most of the rest of the political class on this (the latter are unwavering supporters of Israel and their Genocide, to the point of using the kind of powers used in Dictatorships to push back on criticism of it, such as having critics of Israel and its Genocide arrested as “Supporters of Terrorism”, so worse even than the “crimes” Putin in Russia created to deal with his critics).

Paris is in the Schengen zone, and Germany could preemptively ban him from entering, under the Staatsräson.
Nope. Much as they’d love to, Germany can NOT just ban someone from almost all of Europe without any of the other countries getting a say.
