Macklemore is turning his removal from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour into a new run of his own, announcing a three-city “Free Palestine Tour” in Europe with additional artists and U.S. dates still to come.
The rapper announced the benefit tour Thursday, with concerts scheduled for Oct. 26 at 3Arena in Dublin, Oct. 29 at Accor Arena in Paris and Oct. 30 at OVO Arena Wembley in London. Ticketmaster is billing the shows as “Macklemore & Friends,” though participating artists have not yet been announced.
Macklemore said all proceeds from the concerts will benefit organizations “supporting the Palestinian people and movement.”
If you think denouncing Hamas and the IDF and calling for the people of Palestine to be free is “genocide apologia” then your brain is truly rotted.
You are denouncing the very means that Palestine has of becoming free, therefore de facto supporting the genocide. It’s not complicated logic.
Hamas is not the very means that Palestine has of becoming free.
Fuck Hamas. Fuck the IDF.
Free Palestine.
How then should they become free if not through armed struggle?
No one said it should not be through armed struggle.
Just not the armed struggle they are currently doing and which, as the people actually affected, they have decided is what works best?
