This could’ve gone much worse.
“Open Sesame!”
Incorrect password.
“Open Sesame!”
Incorrect password.
[changes password to “Open Sesame!”]
New password must be different from the current password.
I-I-I would never use a password like this. Excuse me, I have to go now for uh… reasons.
Nice save! What did you change it to?

Strange, all I see is *******
I tried 3 times to change it to OpenSesame!123 as the picture instructed, but it kept saying “cannot reuse existing password”. I was thinking to wait and hour and try again. After that, I’ll give up and use something new. I was thinking either “God”, “Love”, “password”, or “secret” - something really easy for me to remember. :-P
“That’s the same combination as my luggage!”
Not if you type it in backwards! :-P
While not my exact iteration pattern of base password, it’s close enough that I feel spoken to by this comic.
pig.silver@123 i guess
sudo open sesame
Come back in two months
“OpenSesame!123”
Invalid password
“OpenSesame!124”
opens
This is why we use phrase based passwords as best practices now.
This incident will be reported.
aww, I wish the cartoonist had drawn wild sesame growth that concealed the cave entrance. always loved that illustration in our children’s book version
