Indubitably - I have been fairly resistant to that but sadly (to me) it seems a question now of when I get time to research it, not if:-|. It’s been a minute/decade since I was my own captain though, and I don’t want to pay for a proxy service, and I’d want to see if there are Android solutions that are safe, and so on. In the meantime, I’m just 1-2-3-ing my way around, bumming my way on other people’s rides:-).
Unfortunately, often it does not. Plus I do legit miss the feeling of being totally legit - like even though it is not illegal to stream, still I truly want some cash to trickle its way back towards the content creators. Also, places like Netflix offer a fantastic streaming service - entirely separately from the content.
So I am not sure what I will end up doing. Maybe I will settle for getting less content, or maybe I will watch less TV entirely and read more books, but I may also investigate going deeper if I need to for a specific series, or even if I never actually use it, just to know what it is all about:-).
I hope the streamin bubble will pop soon and we will have fewer but higher quality shows.
I find that I am LOSING shows that I used to enjoy, now that Disney+ and Paramount+ and whatever are gate-keeping them.
But yes, there is indeed a ton of lower-quality shows lining up to take their place…
There be ways to get around those gates, matey!

The simplest method for me is streaming sites.

The bubble has produced some of the highest quality TV ever. If the bubble bursts, the quality will go down for sure.
The world was better when the same six corporations provided all the entertainment I ever needed
Or things that are already made disappear and are replaced with reality TV, like what’s happening with HBO/Discovery/Max/whatever.
