The money is already appropriated by Congress. Biden is just approving specific transactions. Also, Baltimore doesn’t need $2.5B

        People are still hungry

        Unhoused are still unhoused

Veterans are still 1) Created 2) Shovelled out onto the street once we are done with them

We still send bulldozers to remove homeless encampments and make hostile architecture

But it doesn’t cost 2.5B to repair a bridge. It’s like a quarter of that. And that would be paid out over a longer period of time

I think the point of the post isn’t towards Biden alone. But it’s the way the entire system works.

I’m Canadian and if I get murdered here, my government doesn’t give a shit, but they do if I’m a foreigner. We’re so fucked and can’t make ends meet and our government won’t lift a finger, but poor citizens of other nations get aid. It’s easier to look good handing out foreign aid, instead of actually fixing the system and helping your own citizens

this is getting dangerously close to “these globalists are ruining my country” ngl

in the first world, there’s no decision between foreign aid or receiving immigrants and improving your own country. you can very much have both. it’s just a lot easier to pass bills giving away a bunch of expensive stuff than it is to fix a broken country, so politicians tend to do a lot of the former and very little of the latter. especially when a large portion of the legislators are dead set on not allowing the opposition look good and block any attempt at actually making progress in the country (looking at you USA), but also just in any other country with a shitty system

domestic progress takes a LOT of time and effort, it’s just not as simple as providing foreign aid and taking in refugees (even if some of the foreign aid’s only purpose is to blow up middle eastern children and if those refugees are a direct result of said blowing up of middle eastern children)

It’s more profitable to give away a bunch of weapons to the wrong side of a war than it is to provide aid to people who can’t pay for it, regardless of their country.

Calling someone with a Jewish children anti Semitic for criticizing the government’s lack of regard for its citizens is disgusting and destroys your position. I didn’t read past your first paragraph, cause after that point your opinion means dick to me.

I said foreign affairs, nothing about race. There are white foreigners too.

If defense contractors can get in on the bridge situation, we’ll see funding 1000x overnight
