Iron Dames? Who comes up with these names? 😂

Originally to blame is the guy who named his team Iron Lynx because he wanted “something powerful but not too arrogant”. At least in sportscar racing, Iron Dames isn’t a whole team, it’s just the brand for the project within the Iron Lynx team. That’s why you see the three triangles representing the eyes and nose of a lynx on all Iron Lynx cars, incl the Iron Dames.

Btw, at some point the owner of Iron Lynx bought Prema, so those are now in the mix too and I don’t even know if there is any logic left to when which name is used. For a while it looked like Prema was the open wheel racing brand and Iron Lynx the sportscar brand but last year Doriane Pin drove for Prema in the LMP2 class of WEC and had Iron Dames printed on her overall and now Iron Dames is in Formula Regional Europe.

Please let the owner be an Aussie… Then they could have named it Prema Donnas. The jokes write themselves 😂.

Nah I’m just kidding. I’m looking forward to seeing more racing.

Ah, I was about to say that Marta was originally announced to drive for Prema which is confusing… so it’s the same owner for both Brands? Weird decision but ok
