They could at least plant some trees and hedges on that cemetery
That big oil plant behind them would probably just kill them. I’m amazed there’s grass.
My Grandpa and I are driving. We pass a cemetery. He nudges my leg, points to the cemetery, and says “Y’know, people’re dying to get in there.”
Same joke, every single time.
I miss my Grandpa
My old home town’s cemetery is in the shadow the soybean processing plant.
There is an odor.
Soylent processing?
Soylent processing is done by people!
At least soybeans are useful as a protein alternative to meat though. This is an oil company. Bury your loved ones while looking at the thing that will bury humanity.
maybe an unpopular opinion: fuck capitalism and corporate greed and all that, yes, but would you rather that space be used for a cemetary or housing? I don’t mind my bones being put somewhere with a shit view if it means living people don’t have to see that shit.
Living people still have to see it. The only reason I saw it was that we drove by it on the main road through town, which is also a highway.
They also have to see the factory and the many, many oil wells in the county. Businesses have oil wells in their parking lots. One very expensive-looking house had an oil well in its front yard.
It’s just smart planning. If you build the oil processing place where you bury dead people after a long enough amount of time you’ll have oil you can get right there!
Maybe some zombies too!
An insane oil baron drinks your last milkshake before they bury you here.
I swear I’d claw them to death if they tried. I’m early in recovery from major surgery, today I walked to an ice cream place to get a shake. It was like 4 blocks, took everything I had in me. I’m dragging this milkshake with me to my grave that long strawed bastard can go ahead and test which of us is crazier right now
But yknow, those wind turbines spoil the view…
