The #Mastodon crowd is making short work of the goals I’ve been setting for the Mastodon specific fundraiser for Harris for President. We are closing in on $13,000 and I’ve set the ambitious goal at $16,000. Countless boosts and comments have led to 183 contributions so far. I had aimed for 100 today, so being so near to 200 is amazing. Many contributions are for $5; some for significantly more. The idea is that if one is donating to the Harris campaign anyway, doing it under a shared Mastodon banner might push the Harris campaign towards posting on open platforms. So it serves a double purpose of fighting Trump and Musk at the same time.
