I find myself only ever using AI for silly images to share with my partner and such anymore. It’s clearly not competent enough to be trusted the way average people have been relying on it. I switched to open weight local models and they honestly seem to work better than the large online models with proper prompting, and acting as a assisting tool rather than a creativity/skill replacer. Still have to double check everything it outputs if it is critical information.

That said, I wouldn’t be torn up in the slightest if it was gone right now.

Same. The amount of people smirking at me, and looking at me like Im crazy is hard to deal with. We finally felt like maybe it was time to unmask, and for a day or so it was going well, until I caught covid and gave it to my partner. It was absolutely terrible. We’re up to date on boosters, and it still took us down for a week with razor throat, coughing, headache, laziness. After the first week, we were still coughing for 2 weeks after. We are back to wearing masks. This disease would literally be over and done if everyone just vaccinated and wore masks for a few months. Instead they still want a way to kill grandma. I have a co-worker who is serially deathly ill because of her grandkids. This is just a terrible timeline.

I have gotten fewer spam messages when I respond with other spam messages I have received. They think they got another spam number and remove it. If its a call, sometimes Ill answer, and mute the line so they cannot hear anything. I just wait it out, I don’t get repeat calls after a few of those. if the person setting up the call system is caused any form of financial damage or risk for me tying up their lines, and costing them both literal money per minute as well as missed opportunity to scam some old person, I don’t mind doing a little here and there. As a treat.

Ill be honest. Reading it all the way through was a challenge in critical cringe management even being certain it was a joke.

With the type of person who goes to hooters for the hooters, destroying woke 3rd spaces is one of their biggest joys. This group could stand to have theirs taken in kind.
