  • Just tagging to me is stupid selfish egotism.

If you’re going to take the risk why not scrawl a subversive message?

Graffiti is an amazing tool for public conversation, a forum for grievances. I’d love to see more of it and get a jolt of joy when there’s good radical stuff in highly trafficked areas. Lets us know we’re many and not crazy.

We’re barraged by predatory advertising to such a depressingly saturated degree almost everywhere we look (unless you train yourself to avert your eyes, which is a good thing to practice and learn). Defacing ads is highly noble too.

Suggestion: carry a Magnum Sharpie with you everywhere so you can at least scrawl short subversive messages.

  • “A third threat comes from the potential social backlash. To use Rawls-ian analysis, the invisible hand stops working. Perhaps one reason that societies allow plutonomy, is because enough of the electorate believe they have a chance of becoming a Plutoparticipant. Why kill it off, if you can join it? In a sense this is the embodiment of the “American dream”. But if voters feel they cannot participate, they are more likely to divide up the wealth pie, rather than aspire to being truly rich.“

“Could the plutonomies die because the dream is dead, because enough of society does not believe they can participate? The answer is of course yes. But we suspect this is a threat more clearly felt during recessions, and periods of falling wealth, than when average citizens feel that they are better off. There are signs around the world that society is unhappy with plutonomy – judging by how tight electoral races are. But as yet, there seems little political fight being born out on this battleground.“

“Our overall conclusion is that a backlash against plutonomy is probable at some point. However, that point is not now. So long as economies continue to grow, and enough of the electorates feel that they are benefiting and getting rich in absolute terms, even if they are less well off in relative terms, there is little threat to Plutonomy in the U.S., UK, etc.“

The predatory, parasitic 1% Epstein Class are the only real enemy.

People starting to realize it right now.

  • To me almost all wars or”conflict” are simply the stealing of another place’s resources.

Which is made possible by using this lexicon of coded language.

Trump has merely said out loud what was formerly and typically cloaked in obfuscation and deceptive contextualizing (when they’re not outright lying), in order to justify our bringing “democracy” to “unstable” places ruled by “dictators.”

Of course it’s used here as well. They steal our resources by not taxing the rich, giving obscene funds to police and military, and “privatize” everything. Betting on sports and everything else, while having to be entertained 24/7 every single day, and access to cheap disposable goods (literally made by child slave labor in SE Asia) to attempt to assuage the deep emptiness part and parcel of being working class American keeps the proles distracted, isolated and eminently malleable. While they steal everything around us.

  • That link was the most cryptically and very purposefully, it seems, hiding of the most basic details in journalism.

Is barely two paragraphs and doesn’t even mention what kind of warehouse it is, or even offer speculation of what happened or venture to talk to people in the area.

We’ve seen this aplenty by corporate media: immediately go in to coverup mode bc the CEO too brass don’t wan them proles getting any more ideas. Such as going to their golf courses, country clubs and vacation homes and torching them too.

  • Lots of Lib lameness for sure.

But my sign, held by my kids, reminding people to never cease talking about the Epstein Files got a lot of pics, thumbs up and encouragement to the little ones. We had another mentioning Cuba and the War with Iran.

Also had a handful of uplifting/energizing conversations with comrades. One handing out flyers about the Cuban blockade; another who had a Fred Hampton quote on a placard (which led to a heightened conversation in a packed coffee shop about the core problem being capitalism), and another with a woman wearing a rabbi for peace shirt carrying a Palestinian flag and a wearing a Tax The Rich winter hat.

I was loathe to go, being such a predictable, milquetoast Neoliberal Dem Party brunch crowd of Trump hyperventilating. But glad I did. Just to take the kids to see another world being possible and to seek out and engage with comrades.
