The concept is patently fallacious to anyone with a passing understanding of how this technology works. They are machines that execute instructions with no capacity to do anything else. Boeing autopilot capability didn’t “escape containment” when it caused all those fatal crashes, because autopilot avionic capabilities do not actually fly the aircraft by understanding cause and effect, they execute “Open Relay B when Sensor A registers 18.6 volts until Sensor A registers 18.4 volts”. The aircraft doesn’t understand that Relay B opens the hydraulic servo controlling the elevator and that Sensor A is a pitot tube measuring angle of attack. LLMs just generate statistically likely text.

Sort of. Some years ago “forced-reset” triggers were legalized. These are legally distinct from full auto but functionally the same, kind of like “pistol braces” vs stocks for barrels <16". Cheap versions of this machine have proliferated widely and can be purchased for as little as $45 or printed at home.

SO cool, I love how anachronistic everything is, stamped detachable mags, modern grip profile, but a hopelessly outdated configuration for practical purposes. It reminds me of a SOCOM 1911 or something, or a “modernized” lever action. If I recall correctly, WW1-era pistols have a large cultural cachet in China, kind of like cowboy guns in the USA.

The 5.45 AR seems like the worst attributes of both weapons combined, weak boltface, expensive ammo, light bullets but without significant speed

I guess now that no ammo is cheap you might as well reload anyway… x39 does have some benefits over 5.56 within it’s effective range as well
