  • Hab nen Flexispot Standard seit zwei Jahren und bin soweit zufrieden. Hab ne kleinere Tischplatte, meine aber 140x80 wäre auch auswählbar. Preis Leistung ist Spitze, look ist ein Stück weit individualisierbar, Aufbau nicht schwer.

    Beim Kabelmanagement gabs als ich gekauft habe nur kleine Körbe, die Überzeugen mich inzwischen nicht mehr so ganz, habe aber gesehen die haben inzwischen auch ein paar mehr Optionen inkl. passender Steckdosenleisten und so was.

    Bei dem Preis kann man aber auch gut noch weiter individuell zeug drunter spaxen ohne schlechtes Gewissen…

    Im using that one since 2021 for at least one heavy shopping trip per week and am pleased with it so far. Still is in very good condition and will hopefully be for many years to come.

    If the meister ever breaks i will treat myself to one of those. They are always in the top in rankings and can tolerate loads of weight.

    Spare parts are available for both so repairability is alsp no problem

    Not sure if these are available were ever you live. :)


  • We will try and start to work on our garden this year. Bought it together with our house nearly 3 y ago and only did some cleaning to not let it completely overgrow.

    We will start extremely basic with seeding a little bit of lawn and a wide stripe of wildflowers on the sides as we don’t have a lot of time this year as new parents.

    There is a walnut growing that we had trimmed last fall and some old Raspberrie plants that reproduce via the root. guess ill try and gently push it to the parts of the garden id like it to grow over the next few years.

    Ultimately id like to swap the lawn with an ecological and easy to maintain alternative that my kid can play on and go full eco with wildflowers, bee hotels, cairn and what not at the edges of the garden.

    Do some of you have a recommendation for a grass alternative that fits middle European weather that will not need loads of water to survive a harsh summer?


  • Hatte mal ne Ergo Versicherung für ein S3, in meiner damaligen Situation viel Geld. Musste die Versicherung auch wirklich in Anspruch nehmen wegen eines immer wieder auftretenden Defekt der nicht durch die Gewährleistung abgedeckt gewesen wäre. Die haben mir 3x das Gerät getauscht bis sich das Thema mal erledigt hatte. Hat sich für mich also voll gelohnt. Würde ich aber nur bei einem Warenwert machen, den ich nicht so ohne weiteres ersetzen kann.


  • We stopped preparing/bringing the food whenever they started getting annoying and only continued as they went silent again. First 2 times took some time, after that they learned pretty quickly that silence gets the belly full quicker. This obviously only works with regular and sufficiently fed cats. As soon as one of ours needed to go on a brief diet (stomach flu) they started to get very vocal very fast and did only turn down their volume weeks after getting fed normally again. I think shes still salty about it months later… :(








  • Western Germany:

    mett

    Basically raw ground pork with salt, pepper and onions. Obviously it needs to be super fresh and is Either served on half a bread roll or formed into a little hedgehog with the onions as the spikes.

    rheinischer Sauerbraten

    A marinated pot roast thats slightly sour. The traditional rheinische Sauerbraten is made out of horsemeat and has raisins in the sauce. Its super hard to find in restaurants in modern times. The dish was originally made to make older animals meat tender again.

    Kesselsknall (named different in every village)

    A dish made out of grated potato and onion mixed with egg and mettenden (coarsly ground and smoked pork sausages) browned and then baked in the oven. Often served with apple puree

    Himmel un’ Ääd (“heaven and earth”)

    Mashed Potato, apple puree and blood sausage

    Muzen (not muzenmandeln) and Krapfen

    Both is a form of Deep fried pastry. Krapfen are a bit like doughnuts without the hole, but much smoother and jucier inside. Most times made with raisins. Muzen are a bit harder and flat. Both are only sold around Karneval

    Halve Hahn (loosly means “half of a chicken”)

    One half of a rye bread roll (a “röggelchen” is often baked in doubles that are broken up for this) with a generous amout of butter a big fat slice of cheese (nearly always middleaged gouda), onions and pickles. Sometimes also mustard

    Roter Heringssalat

    Herringsalad with onions, apples, beetroot and cream

    Yeah we like simple, hearty stuff with a twist of weird. And apple puree to town down the whole thing a bit.

    Damn. Now im hungry.
