They actually seek out other fish and live in their gills as parasites. They’re attracted to ammonia to help them find gills and so sometimes they can get confused and think a urethra is a gill slit. This doesn’t work out for anyone involved. On the plus side, I think this mostly only happens when someone is actively pissing.
