Honestly it’s a wonder anyone was even born in England during this time period.
That’s the thing: Victorians were dirty, horny fuckers.
There is a lot of evidence for this left behind in writing. It just wasn’t socially acceptable, so doesn’t show up in Victorian mainstream stuff – much like now, I guess.
I feel like sexual repression just has weird effects on a culture, I mean, just look at Japan.
