    That’s genuinely good enough for urban warfare, considering it’s less about what you can hit and more about how many other dudes are trying to do the same thing

    Too bad a lot of these guys are rural

      Depends on how “the government” fights, too. Guns don’t do shit against chemical warfare (tear gas etc.) or bombings. IMO, in a modern, developed state an insurgency can’t do shit if the military isn’t at least neutral, or they get support from foreign forces.

          Myanmar is exactly the kind of country that made me specify “modern, developed state”. Their military ain’t shit compared to the US or most european countries.

            So you’re claiming something is impossible when there’s been zero popular revolts against your limited examples, mostly because no one running one has managed to fuck up that badly?

          if the “developed” nation doesn’t want to level the place because it’s either their place too or will result in many civilian casualties.

          You seem to have more trust in the Trump government than I do. They will absolutely go for mass civilian casualties if there’s a big insurgency in the US.
