cw: sexual harassment and assault

i know its an unpleasant one but i get sexually harassed a lot by strangers and i want to know if other women don’t have a similar experience to me because its relentless.

i had three separate guys do something while i sat on a bench eating my lunch today for not even five minutes and it made me reflect on how its almost every time that i leave the house that there’s an incident with a man. i left my bag in the supermarket last week because a man followed me from the cafe I was in to ask me for my Snapchat - and told me so. three days before that, I had a man grope me on the bus while other men on the bus spoke over me for saying, “its ok. it happens all the time” with stuff like “well its not ok”. on another day this week, i got separated from a friend when we were walking through the city and a man stopped her to ask her if her boobs were real.

we talk about sexual harassment being a bad thing and an everyday experience for women but I still don’t think that we truely get across to people (particularly men) how incredibly non-stop it is.
